Bal Keshav Thackeray’s Personal Life, Age, wife, Career And Other information

Bal Keshav Thackeray is known as an Indian politician. He established the Shiv Sena party. The party’s right-wing Marathi was primarily an active ethnic party in the western state. He was a symbol of Marathi pride and Hindutva, playing an impressive message cartoon and playing a very important role on the political platform of Maharashtra. His passionate style made him the lord of Shiv Sainiks. He often preferred to be kingmaker instead of taking big responsibility himself.

His political philosophy was shaped largely by his father Keshav Sitaram Thakare, who was a prominent person of the Samyak Maharashtra (United Maharashtra) movement. He started his professional career as a cartoonist in the English language daily The Free Press Journal in Mumbai, but left it in 1960 to make his political weekly poignant.

In the end 1960s and early 1970s, he created the party by creating a temporary alliance with almost all the political parties of the state. After the riots of 1992-93, he and his party adopted the stand of Hindutva. In 1999, on the recommendations of the Election Commission to vote for the name of religion, Thackeray was banned from voting for any election for six years and contesting elections. He did not take any official position and was never formally elected as the leader of his party.

Personal life :-

Bal Keshav Thackeray was born on January 23, 1926 in Pune. His father’s name was keshav sitaram Thackeray , He was a progressive social activist and a writer who was against the caste system. and  he worked a lot in the 1950s to make Bombay the capital of Maharashtra. His mother’s name was ramabai . he has 5 sister’s named Pama Tipnis , Susheela Gupta, Sarla Gadkari , Sanjeevani Karandikar And Sudha Sule. He has 3 brother’s named Shrikant Thackeray And Ramesh Thackeray.

If you talk about bal Thackeray’s married life then he married mina Thackeray . They have three sons, Bindumadhav, Jaydev and Uddhav. In 1995, Meena died and Bindumadhav died in the car accident the next year. Uddhav succeeded as the leader of his father Shiv Sena. Uddhav’s son, Aditya wants to continue the family wing by becoming active in the party’s young wing. He created cartoons for poignant and contributed to Samna till 2012. He described British cartoonist David as his inspiration.

Career :-

He started his career in the Free Press Journal in Mumbai as a cartoonist. Their cartoons were published in the Sunday edition of The Times of India also. In 1960, he launched Cartoon Weekly Masik with his brother Shrikant. They used it for campaign against the growing number and influence of non-Marathi people in Mumbai, who targeted south Indians. After Thackeray’s differences with the Free Press Journal, he and four other people including politician George Fernandes left the paper and started their daily news day.

He founded the Shiv Sena Party. He said that this is not a political party but Shivaji is the army, who is keen to fight for Marathi person . The primary objective of Shiv Sena was to ensure the security of his job against South Indians and Gujaratis. His party grew in the next ten years. Senior leaders like Babasaheb Purandare, Trade Union of Maharashtra, Chief Advocate Madhav Mehra joined the party and Chartered architect Madhav Gajanan Deshpande supported various aspects of party operations.

In 1969, Bal Sahab and Manohar Joshi were thrown in jail after participating in protest against the demand for merger in Karwar, Belgaum and Nipani areas of Maharashtra. During the decade of 1970, it did not succeed in local elections and it was mainly active in Bombay. During the Emergency, Thackeray supported Indira Gandhi to avoid arrest. In 1976, Hemchandra Gupte gave up the importance of money to the Shiv Sena.

By the 1980s, this became a threat to the ruling Congress party, which initially encouraged it because it was giving the CPI a collision. In 1989, Bal Sahab was launched by Shiv Sena’s Newspaper Samana. After the Bombay riots of 1992, he witnessed anti-Muslim and Hindutva-based stance. Later,he alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). BJP-Shiv Sena combine won the Maharashtra state assembly elections in 1995 and remained in power from 1995 to 1999. Thackeray declared himself the “remote control” chief minister.

On July 28, 1999, Bal Sahab was banned from voting in any election and contesting elections in the name of religion to demand a vote for religion for 11 years from December 11, 1999 to December 10, 2005, on the commission’s recommendation of corrupt conduct. In 2000, he was arrested for his role in the riots, but he was released due to the expiry of the period of the law of the borders. In 2002, he called for the formation of a Hindu suicide bomber to raise the threat of terrorism.

After the ban was imposed on Thackeray on six years of voting in 2005, he voted for the first time in the 2007 BMC elections. Thackeray said that Shiv Sena had helped Marathi people in Mumbai. He believed that Hindus should be organized to fight against their identity and those opposing religion. In 2006, Thackeray’s nephew Raj Thackeray split from Shiv Sena and formed Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). Senna worked as a “moral police” and opposed Valentine’s Day celebrations.

In 2007, after referring to Muslims as “green poison” during a Shiv Sena rally, he was arrested for a while. On March 27, 2008, in protest against Bal Sahab’s editorial, the leaders of Shiv Sena in Delhi resigned while referring to their “abusive behavior” against non-Maratha people in Maharashtra and announced that they would form a separate party. Thackeray’s health was not good for some time in the past. On October 24, the ‘roar of roar’ was not heard in the Dussehra rally. He addressed his supporters through video-recorded speech and announced retirement from public life.

Death :-

Bal Thackeray died on 17th November 2012 as a result of the cardiac arrest. As soon as the news came to light about his death, a storm broke out in Mumbai and shops and commercial establishments were closed. Maharashtra State was placed on high alert. And 20,000 Mumbai Police officers, 15 units of the State Reserve Police Force and three teams of Rapid Action Force were deployed.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh called for calm in the city and praised Thackeray’s “strong leadership”, while statements of praise and condolences for Thackeray’s then Chief Minister Narendra Modi and other senior politicians like BJP leader and MP, L.K.

He was given a state funeral at Shivaji Park. It was the city’s first public funeral since Bal Gangadhar Tilak in 1920. People present at their funeral were senior representatives of the Government of Maharashtra and the program was broadcast live on national television channels. Although not on any official position, he was given a salute of 21 guns.
